Hailed by ABC, Georgian National TV, Amarillo and Canyon Globe News, Rustavi 2, Riternello Texas as a composer, pianist, arranger, music director, collaborative pianist, church music director, and sound engineer, Misael Tambuwun has been honored with performances and commissions of his music throughout the United States, Italy, Former Soviet Union Georgia Republic, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia. His cosmopolitan outlook reflects his transpacific upbringing and extensive travels, which strongly influenced by Javanese and Balinese gamelan. Moreover, his catalog encompasses virtually every genre, including symphony orchestra, choral and vocal, chamber, solo, electronic, even aleatory improvisation works which commissioned by SCI at Texas Tech University and West Texas A&M University School of Music and successfully prescreened by GRAMMY award winning, Imani Winds.
After honored by St. Petersburg Conservatoire, Prof. Alexi Sokolov, as being a single recipient of Special Mention of Talent at the age of 14, he started gaining a multiple fellowships and scholarships both national and international, including Fullbright Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarships by Texas Legislature (USA), Phi Mu Alpha Non Sinfonia Scholarhips (USA), Emerging Composer Full Fellowships at Mannes Conservatory (USA), JMC Academy Piano Performance (Australia). In addition, multiple awards and scholars follow his musical journey, including Visiting Professor and Composer-in-Residence at Baralli Conservatoire (Italy), SAE Middlesex University (UK), Skopje International Music Festival (Macedonia), Oregon Bach Festival (USA), Georgian Symphony Orchestra (Georgia Republic), and many more.
Before fulfilling an invitation by The United Nations for being a guest composer and performance for an opening international event in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, he had been trained within some world-renown institutions, such as Eastman School of Music, Tbilisi Conservatoire of Music, Royal College of Music, YAMAHA Music School, Mahidol University College of Music, and School of Music at West Texas A&M University. In summer 2017, he gratefully got a privilege to collaborate with members of New York Philharmonic, MET Opera, and The Juilliard Faculty such as Eric Ewazen, Robert Botti, Erik Ralske in New York City, residency by LoadBang and Neave Trio in Boston, and pursuing a Master Degree in Composition at Peabody Conservatory of Music, Johns Hopkins Uni.
